Showdown Final Moments: Tesla vs Edison

Survived the trip to the town of Unobtainium and witnessed the Showdown between Tesla and Edison! Tired and maybe a bit sore but got to remove the bandages over the cuts tonight from the Monday surgery. Mending up good, still a little bruised and going to sleep well tonight~!

I hope to do a write-up about the event soon. I had a chance to take a few pictures with my phone but I'll add details later this week. I was mainly camped out in my tent for the most part. I am still recovering from getting my gall bladder removed through surgery on Monday so I was a bit tender and limited in my exploring the event.

Highlights of the event include: Seeing TONS of steampunk community friends, Tesla Coil in the middle of the town, hellspawn on a stick (amaaaazing grilled octopus), great concert by Marquis of Vaudeville, awesome skits and presentations from our Tesla and Edison and DRY ICE ICE CREAM OF DELICIOUSNESS!!!

My very good friend Darwin Prophet fell from a ladder a few days ago and broke a leg and an arm. As a musician, she will need financial help with all those things which keep us all alive : groceries, rent, pain killers... A message from Nyx and Darwin Prophet an Urgent Transmission; Darship Captain battles Ulna-Fibula.***Recovery Imminent*** Released from hospital after overnight observation with fractured arm and leg. She is now in Recovery Mode at home base where she is Pondering gravity's acceleration and re-calculating rate of descent. Please stay posted for more developments.

April 29 - Austin, TX - Darwin Prophet Benefit!
12n-5pm, @ Things Celtic/The Mysterium
Parking will be in the empty parking garage across the side street from Things Celtic/The Mysterium, so there will be plenty of parking. We'll have music in the back garden, as well as whatever other entertainment people would like to offer.. And possibly food! Raffle will also be held!
