Pics from the Connnnnnn...

My booth on Sunday.

My booth babe. XD
He's gonna have to dress as the old school Joker one of these years...

Rob Liefeld was at the end of our aisle. :D

If I stood on my toes I could see Humberto's Booth from where I was. Thank goodness he wasn't right across from me; I would not have been able to get any work done...

This shot is of artist alley but I took it in the morning on Friday so not all the dealers were set up. Wish I had grabbed a shot mid-Saturday. Things were hopping then. :D

Another shot of our booth. :)

Did I just see...? Cos-players from Comicpalooza.

Margaret grabbed some awesome shots:
These are from my phone:

Shots from the Con - Thursday Set-Up and Saturday Final

It was good to see they were going to have food stalls for the con. =) Awesome smoothies. The pic is from Thursday's set-up.

The Artist Alley had a good spot. It was set right outside the dealers room and was seen before the dealers room. We had pretty good traffic. This is the pic from Thursday's set-up.

Yay! My table! Pic is from Thursday's set-up.

Margaret, from "DalloftheABOVE", took a shot of our booth. =)

This is from Saturday.

Magnet Board

Here is the Magnet Board. =)

Going to Houston! March 20th - April 5th

Packing up the gear and heading to Houston tomorrow!
My tokens won't be at Secret Oktober until April 5th either. Picking them up tomorrow to take to the con with me.

If you want a sneak peek at my tokens, give me a shout out. Mike's Hard Lemonade caps are hard to find now with just the lemon so if you want a Eye Gear set aside before the con, let me know.

It'll be good to be back with the Houstonians for a bit!

Display Box 1 - Necklace, Bracelet, Tin, Business Tokens and Tacks

Just some short of one of the display cases for the con. =) First shot of one of the more ornate necklaces too. The tin was made to be used like a wallet.

Comicpalooza: Humberto Ramos

So... this is the guy I'm gonna be stalking at Comicpalooza.

I fell in love with his work on DV8 and then when he created Crimson and Out There that kind of sealed the deal. :P I just love his style.... it's chewy sharp yum yum. Yeah, if I meet him I'm sure I'll just clam up and not be able to speak beyond "H-h-hi!" and then promptly pass out or hyperventilate. Whatever comes first...

Then during the Marvel: Civil War arch he did a stint on Wolverine... It renewed my love all over.
He was originally going to be at Comicpalooza last year but due to all the H1N1/Swine Flu problems with flying he made a good choice to just stay at home and come this year.

Looking forward to getting my hands on Fairy Quest too...

How sweet is that wolf?
Check out more of his work and his twitter/blog/etc...

Comicpalooza: Chanson de Vie
Chanson de Vie is a belly dancing group that draws their style from quite a few sources resulting in a wide mix of steampunk, gypsy, gothic and tribal dancing. Check them out! They will be holding panels and also will be selling hip wraps and costumes among other things.

Comicpalooza: Airship Isabella
Airship Isabella is an audio/visual perfomance group that also craft steampunk inspired items.

Comicpalooza: Bruce Campbell

Did I mention Bruce Campbell was going to be there?
John at Midnight Comics has some mad skillz...
This is who my husband will be stalking... :)

Kamikazecon: The Penny Dreadfuls

I won't be attending Kamikazecon as an artist but I thought I would spread the word. The Penny Dreadfuls will be attending Kamikazecon in Houston on March 19-21. Here is the write up from Kamikazecon's site:

"All you Dreadites rejoice: The Penny Dreadfuls of S.S. Icarus will be making their Midwest debut at Kamikazecon 2010! Some of the crazy folks behind the upcoming Steampunk World’s Fair ( and the monthly dance and event night “The Big Brass Ball”, these steampiratess have been flying their sky-ship all over the Eastern US convention scene, pillaging and plundering since early 2008. They recently partnered with DogToon Media (, Wicked Events, and Brian Viglione to create a short series of fun, satirical ads for “Steampunk”.

Making the Texas skies a little less safe for everyone (especially themselves) will be Captain Jeramiah Homer-Winslow, Whisper Merlot, Lucretia Dearfour, Professor Ulysses Marvel, and Alan! Be sure to follow their misadventures at to become a Dreadite in their Army of Dorkness!"

Texas Steampunk I: Cathedral Child

While hunting for Steampunk groups in TX, I stumbled across Texas Steampunk I: Cathedral Child on Boing Boing. It is a nice mix of steampunk with manga style. Check it out and tell me what you think.
