Steampunk Halloween
Been working on simple Halloween pieces with a steampunk flair. I hope to post tomorrow if they are dry enough.

Dramatic Cat
Things have been pretty quiet lately. Just letting tokens dry at the moment.
In return, have a picture of a dramatic cat. (That is Vincent, making sure I keep working.)

Tokens Drying and "THE CONQUEROR'S SHADOW"
So right now I am working on experiementing with a bottle cap locket and a new design for a pendant/necklace but while they dry I have been reading The Conqueror's Shadow by Ari Marmell. Now, normally I really stray away from Fantasy/War stories because of all the weird location names and new world rules kind of stuff but the characters and dialogue are so well developed and they really drew me into the story pretty quickly. It took about 50 pages until I felt I got a good grasp of the world/locations and since then the plot has just been awesome. I'm still working on the book and I had been trying to read only 1 chapter a night to kind of draw it out more but I don't know how many chapters I flew through last night while tokens were drying...
The book has ogres, demons, witches, vampire-like creatures and all sorts of goodies and all of the different elements are really introduced very well. Heheh, I can't stop bringing up the dialogue enough though... It just makes me laugh out loud sometimes... :D
So hopefully I will be posting some new designs around early next week. In the meantime, check out The Conqueror's Shadow if you are looking for an enjoyable read. I will probably make a post after a finish it.

Necklaces with Tokens
I am working on several new pieces and can't wait to wrap them up. This past week I was out of town and away from all of my supplies so I had lots of time to plan.
Working on push pins for cork boards along with some magnets. (They are great for your office or college space!)
I also have a new design in the works and I am waiting for pieces to dry before I can move on to the final touches. I'll post pictures once they are complete.
While you wait, here are some pictures of the 3 Gear with 1 Pin designs with their necklaces attached. I included some of the different colors for the tokens too.

DRY!
Here is the new design! It is The 3 Gears with 1 Pin. I love the way it looks with the pin. All the outside gears are mobile too.
I am thinking I will make these necklaces but I will have to see... I love Mike's Hard Lemonade bottle caps for this! The lemon gets covered up a little and ends up looking like an eye with the gear.
It has been raining all yesterday and today; I'm wondering if that caused them to dry slower... Next week I'll post some of the other designs I have had already. I was just a little pumped about the way this one turned out. Have a great week and stay warm and dry!

Rockin to The Browncoats Today!
The new ones are still drying.
Well, good things are always worth the wait, right?
For your viewing pleasure, The Browncoats rendition of The Hero of Canton:
Saw this band live when they came to Austin for Ikkicon and had a blast!
Check them out! They have some great songs on their CD.
