Close-up: Steambath Factory

This is a close up of the delicious and tantilizing scents donated by Steambath Factory. They include "Old Lace", "Mutiny", "Cemetary Roses", "Raygun" and "Time Traveler."
Don't just look the part but wrap yourself in these rich steamy scents. "Mutiny" happens to be my favorite. What sounds yummy to you? Details on the scents are listed below:

Old Lace- Echoeing romance, victorian lace gloves grasp delicate, fragrant violets.

Mutiny- Passion and adventure await you with coconut, pirate’s rum, island spice and salty sea air. Prepare to be boarded!

Cemetary Roses- A haunting blend of dusty roses and fresh wild lavender.

Raygun- Wicked and wonderful, orange, grapefruit & tangerines burst with touch of lime, tea leaves and cinnamon.

Time Traveler- Tingly mint and fresh cut thyme whirling through time and space...

Conservatory- a proper, yet highly provocative blend of wood, coffee & old books with hint of cardamom, ginger & exotic Indian patchouli.

Now which of these are hidden in which treasure chest...

In addition to these prizes, samples of the new scent "Conservatory" have been donated as well so keep an eye out for the samples being handed out at the Pre-Party and at Austin's Elysium Steampunk Ball!

New Lapel Pin Design

This is a new direction I am going with the lapel/hat/bag pins. I recently created a custom order for a German Belly Dancing Group and the pieces we similar in design. They are a little more expensive than the simple lapel pins so I won't be making as many but I look forward to getting more designs worked up.

Anime Overload Loot

Goodies from Anime Overload. =^.^=

This is just a shot of all the goodies. =)
The Deadpool badge is from herms85.deviantart.com
I'm a huge Deadpool fan...

I grabbed this hat from Georgia Thomas of "Puddles the Pirate Kitty."
She is an Austin Local artist and takes custom order at kittaba@yahoo.com

Unfortunately it seems I didn't grab a business card for the artists that made him.
I shall have to hunt!

Snagged this from Rhapsodical Wares (listed Rhapsodical Hats on the Local Artist tab.)
Find more items on their Etsy shop at rhapsodicalhats.etsy.com!

I'm in love with this from Rhapsodical Wares (listed Rhapsodical Hats on the Local Artist tab.)
Find more items on their Etsy shop at rhapsodicalhats.etsy.com! So Tiny! So Cute!

This is another item from Georgia Thomas of "Puddles the Pirate Kitty."
She had quite a few and sold all of them tonight.
She is an Austin Local artist and takes custom order at kittaba@yahoo.com

This is from ClockWork Threads. (http://www.clockworkthreads.com/)
I really love the design on this! I can't wait to see more of her work.
She handles a lot of custom item work from her website.
Have a picture in mind? Talk to her! She'll make it work!

So overall the con was rather small and the panels were a bit hard to hear but I really think it makes for a good one day con. Everything was packed into one room (performance stage, dealers, artists and panels with cloth dividers in the back of the room.) They also had two food vendors there which was kind of nice. (Yummy Sno-cones!) I mainly just went to go check out the artists.

Other artists that were there include Winged Cat Studios (lucubro-insomnis.deviantart.com), A Key Within: Geek Chic (http://www.akeywithin.etsy.com/), Airship Isabella (Airshipisabella.com) and Bleak World Productions (http://www.metaphoricsurrealist.com/.)

Taking it easy tonight...

I didn't really feel like working tonight so I decided to play a little. Did some drawing and then decided to play with some ideas I had for chain mail. I don't really like following directions, I think that is why reading through lots of chain mail tutorials just kills my head. Once I can establish some kind of basics though, it gives me a chance to start twisting and molding things to the way I like it.
I didn't really make this to sell but I I thought I could really play around with the object in some photos and general arrangement. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, considering I really don't know anything about chain mail.
Kind of reminds me of a steampunk rosary.
