Vacation: Button

My aunt had a collection of old political buttons that were my grandfathers. This one made me smirk.

Vacation: Keys

The keys... oh, the keys... I think I'm broke now.

Vacation: Goggles

We hit an antique store in Corry, PA during my past vacation and I stumbled across a pair of "Initiation Goggles." The black lenses can be pulled down and opened up as needed. My sister said she thought they would be used in a pilot's test for flying blind but I haven't been able to track down any shots of similar goggles. Anyone know anything about them?

Real Clock Parts Necklace #2

This is the second necklace using clock parts and chain from the abandoned warehouse in Amarillo. The main chain and magnetic heart clasp are not antique. The heart is bronze colored and everything else is a gold color.

She has some fun jewlery at her shop to check out. I'm loving all the sugar skulls!

Peep Show Token

During my vacation to PA and MD we hit several antique stores and my husband stumbled across this peep show token for Ellwest Stereo theatres & jolar Cinemas. I ended up buying it because it cracked me up so much. Been hunting around for more information on where it was used.

I came across this:
"This little token is from an adult peep-show theater that operated in the 1970’s in New York City and several other metropolitan areas. The operation was called the “Ellwest Stereo Theatres & Jolar Cinemas.” via: http://www.etsy.com/listing/41870170/1970s-adult-peep-show-tokenellwest

Meet My Mouse: Penny the Gear Mouse

Once I had Rusty and Time by my side it didn't take long to track down Penny. She is a quiet but busy little thing. Always skittering from one place to the next in search of her next great find to add to her little collection. She's not picky about her food and she's very brave around Time the klockwerk kitten. Penny and Rusty really like exploring together too.

She is a native Texan from an abandoned warehouse in Amarillo. (I think she kind of misses home a bit but she does enjoy being around all the new things here in Austin.) She doesn't really seem to have a favorite item, pretty much anything new becomes her favorite. At the time she took a great interest in my camera...

Meet My Cat: Time the Klockwerk Kitten

Between his mechanical mews I first heard when hunting through the warehouse and Rusty the Steampunk Cog Dog's nose, we discovered this tiny treasure. He was hidden in a corner playing with a line of string that had been attached to one of the old pendulum clocks. He is a native Texan, found in an abandoned warehouse in Amarillo.
He left us a note one day saying his name was "Tiem the Klockwerk Kitten" but for convenience I spellchecked the first part. For his own sake I left the rest of his name as he gave it. He's pretty clever and plays well with others. Won't you help Time find a happy home where he can play with all the string he desires?

Meet My Dog: Rusty the Steampunk Cog Dog

Meet my new pup. He doesn't eat much and his barks are quiet. I think he's adorable down to his button noes and his clock part toes. He helps me scrounge up spare bits at the clock yard. His favorite toy is his old crusty dice he found at an abandoned warehouse. (That is actually where I found him wandering around in search of a good belly rub and an oiling.) He is a native Texan from an abandoned warehouse in Amarillo.

I received a package of old spare clock parts from an estate sale and today is his birthday. I planned him out last night for the most part and got him put together today.

I'm really happy with Rusty. Won't you help find him a good home?

My cat Jules is looking a little jealous. He makes a good watch dog though...
